Turkish Delight
Recipe Sumaira Nadeem
Ingredients :
Sugar 3 Cups
Water 1-1/2 Cup
Orange juice half Cup
Gelatin 3 packets or 3 tbsp
Cornflour 3/4 Cup
Water half Cup
Corn syrup 3 tbsp
Vanilla essence 1tsp
Orange essence 1 tsp
Orange food color 3 drops
Method :
Gelatin mix with half cup of orange juice and set aside.
Cornflour mix with half cup of water and set aside.
In a saucepan add 3 cups sugar and 1 and a half cup water and corn syrup 3 tbsp and cook for make a sugar syrup. Temperature goes to 240 degrees in tofee thamametre than add cornflour mixture and cook till thick than off the flame and add gelatin mizture and orange or vanilla essence and mix with whisk. Mix well than add 3 drop of food color and pour mixture to 8" by 8" inch square pan and put in refrigerator for 6 hours or overnight.
If ready than cut into square pieces. Add some icing sugar. Cutting knife grease with oil or flour to cut in easy . Spinkle icing sugar and serve.
